About Therapy

Below are some of my thoughts on psychotherapy, and the services I provide.

My Approach

I value the bravery it takes to prioritize mental health care and listen to the part of yourself seeking change. Psychotherapy is a collaborative relationship dedicated to your growth, focused on your goals, and fueled by curiosity. In therapy we cultivate a safe space to tend to your thoughts, emotions, and what you’re dealing with. To foster lasting change, we work to understand the causes of your symptoms and the dynamics of your emotional life.

The work of therapy can allow for growth and expansion in one’s self, relationships, and life. I feel the unique therapeutic relationship is a major component of healing, and consider it an honor to work with you.

Treatment Style

Contemporary psychoanalytic theory is my theoretical home. I also utilize: Mentalization Based Therapy, Attachment Theory, trauma theory and a mind/body perspective.

I am dedicated to the values of anti-oppression in my practice. I give careful consideration to our uniquely experienced and intersecting identities (including race, gender, sexuality, class, religion, ethnicity, ability, immigration status).
